El Deté is an online football management game, available at eldete.app and currently in beta. This page explains what information the game collects, what it is used for, and how you can have it deleted.

What we collect

Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, your email address and your profile picture. We never see your password, and we do not access your contacts, Gmail, Drive, calendar or any other Google data.
What you do in the game. Your club (name, kits, crest), your squad and tactics, your matches and results, your coins and transfers, and any feedback you send us, including a screenshot if you attach one.
How the game is used. Our own usage records: which sections you open and for how long, what you do in them (for example, changing a formation or making an offer), and the kind of device, screen size and time zone you use. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting providers record your IP address and browser type when your browser talks to our servers.
Data stored in your browser. Your sign-in session and a few preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. We do not set advertising cookies.

How we use it

To run the game: recognise your account, save your club and let you play matches.
To show you to other managers: your club name and your coach name are visible to other players. The coach name starts as the first name on your Google account and you can change it in the game. Your email address is never shown to other players.
To send you game emails, such as a match day opening, a league report or a transfer offer. Every email has a link to stop receiving them.
To fix problems, prevent abuse and decide what to improve.

Your Google data

We use the information we receive from Google only to sign you in and to show your name and picture inside the game. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, who handle it only to keep the game running.

Who helps us run the game

Supabase: database and sign-in (United States).
Render: hosting of the website and the match server (United States).
GoDaddy: delivery of the emails the game sends.
Google: sign-in.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep your information while your account exists. You can ask us at any time to delete your account: we will remove your account and your personal information within 30 days. Results of matches you played may remain in other clubs' history without your personal details.

You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it.

Children

El Deté is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

All traffic to the game is encrypted, and access to the data is restricted. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
